I heard Kerrea Gilbert had a number of personal problems that prevented him playing more often than he otherwise would have done on loan at Cardiff. Their boss Dave Jones went public on it, but didn't reveal what the problems were. Then on loan at Southend, it was rumoured that Gilbert had some time-keeping and attitude issues. But if all those rumours are true, why is Gilbert still on Arsenal's books? Wenger normally offloads players if they have a questionable attitude, doesn't he? I must admit I thought Gilbert would make a career for himself in the Premier League (although not necessarily with Arsenal), as he looked a decent prospect, so I'm a bit surprised at his relative lack of progress so far in his career.
