Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero has ruled out a move to England after insisting that he wishes to remain in the Spanish capital.
Aguero has been heavily linked with a switch to the Premier League with Chelsea touted as a possible destination for the highly-rated Argentine.
The 21-year-old is one of European football’s most gifted youngsters and has been an integral part of the Atletico Madrid side who qualified for back-to-back UEFA Champions League’s in 2008 and 2009.
However, in the wake of mounting speculation concerning his future, ‘Kun’ has once again distanced himself from a January transfer away from Atletico Madrid.
"What is clear is that I am happy here and my future lies with Atletico," he was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
"It's always good when a team is interested in you but the truth is I know nothing and if anything happens I'll refer it to the club for it to decide what to do.
"Right now I'm not thinking of anything - my future is with Atletico,” he affirmed.
Aguero has netted an impressive 11 goals in just 21 appearances this season for Los Colchoneros, and has a 60million euros (£54m) buy-out clause on his current contract which has still two years left to run.
