AC Milan defender Alessandro Nesta is hoping to avoid meeting Group D winners Chelsea in the draw for the last 16 UEFA Champions League on December 18th.
The Rossoneri will be amongst the runners-up for next Friday's draw having finished second in Group C behind Real Madrid meaning they could be drawn against holders Barcelona, 2008 champions Manchester United or Premier League leaders Chelsea.
Reflecting on possible opponents, Nesta revealed that he would rather not meet his former manager Carlo Ancelotti, who spent a glorious eight years in the San Siro hotseat prior to his switch to West London in the summer.
"Barcelona and Chelsea are the strongest, I'd rather not meet them," he told Calciomercato.com.
"With the others we would gladly play, even if Manchester United remains a strong side as always," he added.
Other potential opponents for Milan in the two-legged last 16 tie include French champions Bordeaux, 2006 and 2007 UEFA Cup winners Sevilla, as well as Arsenal, who eliminated the Italian giants in the last 16 in 2008.
