Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has downplayed his side's stunning 4-1 win over Juventus by insisting the Bavarian giants are 'not good enough' to win this season's UEFA Champions League.
Bayern inflicted the Bianconeri's biggest ever defeat in Europe on Tuesday evening courtesy of a penalty by goalkeeper Hans-Jorg Butt and further goals by Ivica Olic, Mario Gomez and Anatoliy Tymoshchuk.
The win not only sealed Bayern's place in the last 16, albeit as runners-up, but also sent shochwaves throughout Europe with many tipping Louis van Gaal's ever-improving side to be the dark horses in the competition.
However, French maverick Ribery, who missed the victory in Turin due to a knee injury, feels that his side will fall short of claiming their fifth European crown, and has backed Premier League duo Chelsea and Manchester United to be among the teams to beat.
"It's hard to say whether Bayern are strong enough. I feel like our team is good enough to win the Bundesliga and the DFB Pokal," he told German sports magazine Kicker.
"However, we're not good enough to win the Champions League in my opinion.
"There are only four teams good enough to win it; Chelsea, Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
"We can't compete with them at the moment."
