A depleted Manchester United side travel to the Volkswagen Arena to play second place VfL Wolfsburg in a crucial match that will decide who tops Group B in the UEFA Champions League.
The clash between Wolfsburg and United takes on a whole new level of significance following last season's beaten finalists' shock 1-0 defeat at home to Besiktas on Matchday 5.
A first half strike by Chilean midfielder Rodrigo Tello was enough for the Turkish champions to beat a youthful United side and leave Sir Alex Ferguson's men with some work to do in order to seal first place in the group.
Although Wolfsburg also lost 2-1 away to CSKA Moscow, United's defeat means that Tuesday evening's match at the Volkswagen Arena will effectively decide who tops Group B and who finishes in the runners-up spot.
United men currently occupy first place on 10 points, whereas Wolfsburg are joint-second with CSKA Moscow on seven.
When the pair met at Old Trafford in late September, the Red Devils emerged with a 2-1 win meaning that Armin Veh's men will need to win 1-0, or, by two clear goals to leapfrog their visitors and seal top-spot.
However, should the German champions lose or draw and CSKA Moscow win in Turkey then it will be Russians who will join United, albeit as runners-up in the group, in the last 16.
It promises to be an intriguing night especially given the fact that Sir Alex Ferguson’s men have been crippled with defensive injuries, with no less than eight defenders out, which will leave Die Wölfe's attacking duo, Edin Dzeko and Grafite, licking their lips in anticipation!
