Adams in line for New York Red Bulls job...and he wants Henry!

Arsenal legend Tony Adams is reportedly bound for the Big Apple to become the new coach of the New York Red Bulls - with Thierry Henry lined up to join him at the Giants Stadium.

Adams, 43, is currently scouting for the Gunners after being sacked by Portsmouth last February after a run of two wins in 10 games as Harry Redknapp's successor.

The former England skipper, who spent time with Dutch sides Feyenoord and Utrecht learning his trade, has made no secret to return to management and the Daily Mail are reporting he could be handed the reigns of New York.

A move across the pond to the MLS would appeal to Adams, with the presence of David Beckham and Freddie Ljungberg raising the profile of US "soccer" considerably in recent times.

And it is claimed that Adams would be keen to lure Henry, 32, away from Barcelona should he land the job as he is aware the Frenchman 'has in mind to finish his career in MLS'.

The report continues that any deal would have to wait until after the World Cup finals next summer, with Barca already on the lookout for a replacement with Manchester City star Robinho known to be their No.1 target.

Arsenal maverick Andrey Arshavin could be another option, especially if the Gunners fail to prove their ambition to the Russian in the transfer market come the New Year.

Henry

I disagree with Rolly the mug. I think Henry has won about all there is to win in the game and if he feels its time to move on to something new then thats his choice.
I dont think any of the top european teams challenging for major honours would take Henry on current form. A fresh challenge in the United States where he would be the star attraction may be a decent move for him.

DON'T GO THERE HENRY...DON'T!!!

YOU DESERVE BETTER THAN MLS

If you are to be released by Barca next season most European teams would love to sign you..don't go to MLS

Tony Adams is going to be by himself watching Thierry Henry running around in an empty stadium if he goes to "the" Giants Stadium. Red Bulls are moving into brand-spankin'-new Red Bull Arena beginning in March.

I hope this isn't true. We Yanks aren't that thick. We saw the disaster Portsmouth were when he was there. Probably this is just Adams promoting himself, like when he claimed he was going to take over at Celtic.
