Serie A basement boys have parted company with coach Marco Baroni and swiftly appointed Alberto Malesani as his successor at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Sunday's 2-0 defeat to fellow strugglers Atalanta proved to be the final straw for Baroni with the Bianconeri winning just once in the league all season.
Malesani, who has previously worked for the likes of Fiorentina, Parma, Verona, Modena, Panathinaikos and Empoli, has been brought in after the club failed to agree terms with former boss Mario Beretta.
The 50-year-old guided Siena to their best Serie A finish in 2007/08, but failed to agree a deal after demanding a two-year contract.
Baroni becomes the second manager in the Italian top-flight to lose his job on Monday after Palermo dispensed of the services of Walter Zenga following their 0-0 draw with Catania at the weekend - their fouth game without a victory.
