Former Chelsea managers Jose Mourinho and Claudio Ranieri reignited there war of words with one another after Roma held Serie A leaders Inter Milan to a 1-1 draw at the San Siro on Sunday.
Both men criticised their opponents style of play during a feisty affair in which Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi had his cheekbone broken when Patrick Vieira jumped with his elbows outstretched, although the Frenchman escaped a booking.
Mourinho and Ranieri have been bickering at each other ever since the 'Tinker Man' mocked the self-proclaimed 'Special One's' failure to bring Frank Lampard with him to the Nerazzurri in 2008.
Typically, the outspoken Portuguese tactian was quick to issue a response - ridiculing Ranieri's poor grasp of English and his lack of success at Chelsea, while he also labelled him a '70-year-old'.
Ranieri was upset with what he perceived to be Inter's heavy-handed approach to the game on Sunday, while Mourinho felt that the Giallorossi had come to the San Siro with the specific game plan of to not win.
"There was one team which played football against another which just kept committing tactical fouls. It seemed to be a scientific approach," Ranieri said, according to the Daily Mirror.
"They committed twice as many fouls as us. Every time we had the ball in midfield, we were fouled."
To this Mourinho responded: "He is always crying and is super happy with the draw. We didn't do enough to win and they didn't even want to win."
In the game, a second-half equaliser from Samuel Eto'o cancelled out Mirko Vucinic's opener for the away side, which sees Inter's lead at the top of Serie A cut to five points from second place Juventus, while Roma remain in a disappointing 13th place.
