Barcelona are reportedly on the verge of agreeing a fee with Manchester City for the transfer of Robinho from Eastlands to the Nou Camp.
Spanish daily Sport, reported earlier in the week that a Barcelona delegation, which will include technical secretary and 'transfer guru' Txiki Begiristain, and City officials will meet this Wednesday in Abu Dhabi seeking to conclude a deal for the unsettled 25-year-old.
Three proposals where outlined, including two loan deals and a £34milliom deal and it is thought that Robinho himself wants a permanent transfer during the impending January transfer window.
However, according to El Mundo Deportivo, the Catalans wish to pursue the first of their proposals which is a six-month loan stint, with La Blaugrana paying the Brazilian's £160,000-a-week wages.
The proposal also comes with the option of permanent deal after next summer's World Cup in South Africa.
As the deal appears more and more likely tol materialise with each passing day, City boss Mark Hughes has reportedly set his sights firmly on landing Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery for a reported £60million.
The 26-year-old French maverick has fallen out with beleaguered Bayern coach Louis Van Gaal and may find City's offer too tempting to refuse given the millions on offer.
