Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United will have been intrigued to hear that highly-rated Serbian stopper Neven Subotic, dubbed the 'new Nemaja Vidic', is available - for £20million though!
The 20-year-old is considered one of Europe's hottest defensive properties, having attracted attention from a host of Europe's elite clubs in the summer after an impressive first season with Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.
'Current Vidic', Nemanja, tipped off his United boss Sir Alex Ferguson to the immense potential of his fellow Serbian stopper, who was in imperious form at the heart of Dortmund's defence last season, while chipping in with six goals at the other end.
And now Subtoic's agent, Steve Kelly, has confirmed that a number of Premier League clubs are chasing the star, and that a fee in the region of £15-20million would be needed to tempt Dortmund to sell.
He admits however, the 6ft 4in stopper is in no hurry to leave Signal Iduna Park any time soon having recently signed a new five-year deal for Jurgen Klopp's side, for whom he has been an ever-present this season.
"I can confirm that the Premier League's big boys have watched Neven, as well as some of Europe's top clubs. This is no surprise as he is an exceptional player and athlete," Kelly revealed exclusively to Sport.co.uk.
"There isn't a better prospect in his position in Europe, if you watch him he is not only a great defender but he can score goals as well. It will take between £15 and £20million to prize him away from Borussia Dortmund.
"You have to remember, Dortmund is a massive club, he is on a good deal, and also extremely happy with life in Germany. He loves playing for Dortmund and is valued as their best player," he concluded.
