Kuyt in bullish mood ahead of Lyon clash

Liverpool workhorse Dirk Kuyt has vowed that the Reds will avenge the defeat inflicted at the hands of French side Lyon a fortnight ago, when the two teams clash at the Stade Gerland.
At the time, Lyon's smash-and-grab raid at Anfield was Rafael Benitez's side's fourth defeat on the trot, and while they stemmed the flow days later with victory over Manchester United, the Redsl have since suffered back-to-back defeats.
A Lyon victory will ensure their qualification from Group E, and leave Liverpool to fight it out with Fiorentina, who defeated the Reds 2-0 earlier in the campaign, for the final runners up qualification spot in the group.
But Kuyt, who was described by RTE pundit Eamon Dunphy as having 'everything but ability', is sure that Liverpool's European pedigree will shine through in France, and is determined to get revenge on Claude Puel's side.
"Do we want revenge? Of course we want revenge. Our next game is there and we definitely have to win," he told the Daily Sport.
"They are a good team with some quality players but we have beaten good teams away from home before.
"We've beaten Marseille, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Inter Milan away in the last few years. We have nothing to fear."
A defeat for Liverpool at the hands of OL coupled with a win for Fiorentina at home to Hungarian minnows Debrecen would leave them on the brink of Champions League elimination and a possible £25million deficit!
To say Wednesday evening's clash is a big one would be an understatement!
