AC Milan's samba sensation Ronaldinho has sent a warning to their UEFA Champions League rivals by insisting that the Rossoneri can go all the way in Europe’s elite cup competition this season.

Speaking ahead of Milan's mouth-watering clash with Real Madrid at the San Siro on Tuesday evening, the mercurial ace talked up his sides chances of lifting the famous big-eared trophy for an eighth time come what May.

The Rossoneri have turned a corner in the past month following a disastrous start to the season and a scintillating 3-2 win over Los Blancos at the Santiago Bernabeu a fortnight ago was testament to that.

'Dinho' himself has been in a good run of form and impressed in Milan’s fine 2-0 win over Parma on Saturday night, setting up both goals for Italian hitman Marco Boriello.

Now the two-time World Player of the Year is ready to convert dazzling displays into trophies as Leonardo's men look serious contenders to challenge for major honours once again this campaign.

"I expect a great night of Champions League for the entire team and I want to do my best for this team," he told the official Milan Channel.

"Milan can win the Champions League? Yes I think so, Milan is a great team with a great history in the Champions League. I think that we can do well, it’s difficult but not impossible," he added.

So rejuvenated has been the 28-year-old that whispers over a possible return to Dunga's Brazil national team are growing after a lengthy spell in the international wilderness, however, Ronaldinho sounded a need for caution.

"A return to the national team? I don’t think about anything else apart from Milan, I think about doing my best here, then returning to the national team will come naturally, but my priority now is to do well for Milan, then we’ll see about the national team," he said.
