Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness has revealed the Bavarian giants are set to allow a number of their players to leave the Allianz Arena in the January transfer window.
Up to six players are believed to be on their way out the exit door including defensive trio Breno, Christian Lell and Andreas Gorlitz, plus midfielders, Jose Sosa and Alexander Baujohann and veteran Italian hitman Luca Toni.
Chairman Karl Heinz Rummenigge had previously stated that 32-year-old Toni's future
was 100 per cent with the Bundesliga outfit, although the player himself has revealed
he would be open to a move to Serie A outfit Napoli.
Premier League duo West Ham and Tottenham have also been linked with the former Fiorentina striker in the past and could reignite their interest if the prolific marksmen does indeed become available. "The squad will surely be smaller after the winter break," Hoeness told German magazine Sport-Bild.
"People will stay as long as they prove themselves, but I assume there will be some changes."
Bayern currently lie fifth in the Bundesliga table, with 18 points from 10 games, but coach Louis van Gaal is under enormous pressure having overseen the club's worst start to a season in over 40 years.
