Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho has been mouthing off again and this time has ridiculed the records of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger and his Liverpool counterpart Rafa Benitez.
The self-proclaimed 'Special One' has never been short of a few things to say during his stint both in England and now in Italy where he coaches champions Inter Milan.
Having been branded a 'bauscia', Milanese dialect for an arrogant, loud-mouthed individual, the former Chelsea boss hit back strongly with a few choice words of his own and had a dig at Wenger and Benitez for good measure.
Speaking to the official Inter Milan Channel, the 46-year-old hit back at claims that he was arrogant.
"Am I a 'bauscia'? Yes, I know what it means. Certainly all the fans know I give everything for the club and also to them. I couldn't work any other way, that's how I am," he said.
Despite winning the Scudetto at his first attempt with the Nerrazzuri, the failure to win the ultimate prize - the UEFA Champions League - has led to Mourinho being criticised by some quarters in and around the San Siro.
However, the Portuguese coach acknowledged that and cited the lack of trophies of his old adversaries Arsene Wenger and Rafa Benitez as proof that he needs to win trophies to keep his job, unlike the other two respectively.
"[Arsene] Wenger has been Arsenal's coach for 15 years but he hasn't won even a Carling Cup for six years. [Rafa] Benitez hasn't won a league title in six years but he continues to be Liverpool's coach," he retorted.
"This is not the Italian mentality. To stay here I must continue winning and do well."
The Serie A champions travel to Genoa on Saturday night in a potentially thrilling clash at the top end of the table.
