Andres Iniesta, the tormentor in chief of Chelsea last week, has declared that he will be fit for the much anticipated European Cup final against Manchester United in the 'Città di Dio' - city of God - on May 27th.Iniesta expects to be fit to face
Manchester United in the Champions League final after tests on the
Barcelona star's thigh injury, sustained in his side's 3-3 draw with
Villarreal on Sunday, was not as bad as first feared.
Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola feared the worst after the midfield maestro limped off at the end of the match but doctors have eased these worries with the likely prognosis that the 25-year-old will be out for a fortnight at the most after suffering only a small tear in his thigh.
After leaving hospital on Monday morning, Iniesta said:
"I will be in Rome. It is a small tear that wasn't as bad as we thought. The enthusiasm I have to play in the final will help my recovery."He will however definitely miss Wednesday's King's Cup final against
Athletic Bilbao, as Barca look to secure the first trophy of what they hope will be a historic treble this season.
