Diving in Football (4)

I'm not an Arsenal fan and don't like seeing players dive but why has the football world decided to suddenly turn on Eduardo? Lets be honest, he's not the first player in the world to have conned the referee into giving a penalty. Diving is common place to earn penalties, free-kicks and then players feign injury to get their fellow professionals sent off. If the referee hadn't given the penalty then there wouldn't have been any fuss. Foreign clubs use dirty tactics all the time but get away with it, no-one complains and it's an acceptable part of continental football but when an English club is involved it's a different story.

Agreed.  I think the trend of diving has escalated to crazy levels but to single out Eduardo is ridiculous. Plus UEFA are going to make fools of themselves with this because there's no way they can do this for everyone all season. Drogba would get 17 bans every game for a start.

Fergie was quoted saying he supported the ban on eduardo and would never be happy if he won on such circumstances. Haha... considering the amount of times ronaldo snapped his own heels and fell in the penalty box, i think thats a dumb thing to say..

I can't understand why the authorities seemed to think diving was worse than breaking someone's bones. I don't remember this much fuss being made when Martin Taylor shattered Eduardo's leg.
