WarkylegendTough one to call I think. Could well be Arsenal, you can never write them off but Spurs, Villa and Everton may all fancy their chances this year. However, you have to look at Man City and the money they have spent so far and you would expect them to finish 4th this season. That must be their target this season and then to challenge the top 3 the next season.
That's a fair point, Arsenal still have a good squad and I wouldn't write them off, I don't however think that it is theres by right. I think Villa have been weakened losing Barry and Everton will be keen to hold on to Lescott and of course any one spending the millions on players that Man City have will be difficult to write off, however, I still think that Man City's squad is a bit of a mish mash, I mean Bellamy and Tevez? Benjani and Robinho? I think Hughes will struggle to keep a focused squad with nine strikers.

ThebearIs it just me but I think fergie needs to start to splash the cash urgently! Or are the Galziers maybe tightening the purse strings???
This is no knee jerk reaction but I think they could be in serious danger of missing out on the top 2 even! I know they are traditionally slow starters but just think they are lacking something and worryingly key players seem to becoming more injury prone! They are short upfront, owen could be potentially good but as he will with out a doubt get injured that leaves you with just two first class strikers, although berba needs to raise the bar A LOT!
Defensively, when everyone is fit they are as good as anyone, although would rather have Chelsea backline myself! But Rio worryingly for you seems to be picking up more injuries these days and still think right back is a problem!
Midfield is where I think they have all their problems, not good enough! Utd don’t have a single world class player in there anymore (obviously Giggs and scholes were). Arsenal have Arshavin and Cesc, Liverpool Gerrard (big mistake letting Alonso leave), Chelsea have a whole heap and dare I say UTD would have been envious of their near neighbours midfield at the weekend – Robhino, Ireland, Barry and Wright Phillips! Although not convinced I’d class Robhino at a midfielder but they would all get a game for UTD for me just now! Fletch great season last season and a very good team player but not gonna win you games, carrick (Maybe similar to Barry for me) similar but apart from that all just hard working decent players!
I think when everyone is fit Chelsea, Arsenal and possibly even man city have better selections in midfield, possibly even spurs!
How many Utd players would make it in the top 10 midfielders in the premiership! NONE!
My revised premiership prediction is still Chelsea to win but Arsenal to finish second and if Mark Hughes can get it right I think they are more of a threat to the top 4 than people are giving them credit with. Might be crazy but could they finish as high as second, it seems to me that they have more options in midfield than up top than both Liverpool and Utd! But I’ll go
Chelsea,
Arsenal
Man UTD,
Man City,
Liverpool
Spurs
As my top 6 but think if moyes can bring in a couple of players with the lescott money(never worth 25millions, moyes must be laughing his way to bank) and the return of the YAK and Arteta they will be right amongst the mix! For me don’t fancy Villa this season!
Undoubtedly you’ll disagree but that the beauty of football eh!

bluescluesI'd love to see Chelsea winning the league, but theyve got a big african contingent and that could prove to be a burden when the african cup of nations start, and so will any club that depends heavily on african players, Man City would lose Adebayor and Toure, but im sure theyre more than happy to spend in January, hopefully the transfer ban on the blues doesnt kick till after that
The premier league seems to wide open this year, and who finishes where will all be determined on who can keep up their form and have more luck,
My predictions are
Chelsea
Man Utd
Man City
Arsenal
Assuming the gunners can keep injury free, it shouldnt be a problem to beat liverpool to fourth, i know its always wrong to write off liverpool, but to me, they just dont have enough cover for their players, Torres for example, only has the likes of Ngog to cover him, if any of Torres or Gerard would be injured or off form, liverpool could find themselves in a dangerous situation

I'm not sure it will be Spurs who gets the fourth spot though I would love to see it. I do however think that it won't be Arsenal, does anyone agree with me?
