| History: |
Originally erected in 1922 and known as The Empire Stadium, it held it's first FA Cup Final the following year when an estimated 200,000 people attended.
The most famous game at the stadium is widely regarded as the 1966 World Cup Final in which England beat Germany 4-2 to lift the Jules Rimet trophy.
In 2000 England played their last game at the 'old' Wembley - a 1-0 loss to Germany, and the stadium is torn down to be replaced by a new 90,000 capacity venue.
After huge delays it was opened in 2007, with the first major event being the FA Cup Final in which Chelsea were victorious over Manchester United.

The England National Football Team played it's first competitive game against Scotland, near Glasgow, in 1872.
Throughout its existence it has always been run by the Football Association.
The first European country to come to England to play a full international were Belgium in 1922. A year later the team played its first game at Wembley Stadium, drawing 1-1 with Scotland.
Hungary were the first side to be triumphant over the National side on English soil, when they recorded a remarkable 6-3 victory in 1953 - a full 81 years after the first international in England.
Due to disagreements with FIFA, England didn't participate in the World Cup until 1950, when they failed to progress beyond the group stages in Brazil.
They fared better in the next few tournaments, culminating in their finest hour with victory in the 1966 World Cup at Wembley Stadium, under coach Alf Ramsey.
Since then, they have been less succesful in major tournaments. Highlights have included reaching the semi finals in both the 1990 World Cup and 1996 European Championships, where they lost in heartbreaking fashion on penalties on both occasions.
Since 1996 they haven't gone further than the quarter final stage in any major tournament.
They have had 12 different head coaches since 1946 and the man currently in post is Italian Fabio Capello who was given the job in 2007.
