Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey has played down the possibility of top stopper Michael Mancienne returning to Chelsea prematurely due to the possible transfer ban imposed on the London club.
Mancienne, 21, has already been involved in Fabio Capello's England Squad and signed a one year loan deal with Wolves, after impressing previously during a season which saw Wolves win the Championship. However Chelsea inserted an emergency recall clause in order to have Mancienne back in January if needed.
With the Fifa ban on Chelsea preventing them bringing in any new players until 2011, the young ace may well be recalled to Stamford Bridge as emergency cover, should The Blues encounter an injury crisis.
But fears amongst the Wolves faithful have been allayed by Chief Executive Jez Moxey.
He told the Express and Star: "Obviously, player contract stability is of paramount importance to everyone in the Premier League and the last thing we want is to see Michael leave.
"We have got Michael here and we'd like to keep him for the season.
"No-one should get too excited about this situation, because Chelsea are appealing and Michael is here to play football. We do not necessarily see this as affecting Michael's position.
"We've got nothing to say in regard to Chelsea's situation, especially as we have got one of their young players. It's none of our business."
