Wolves have reportedly made a bid for Cardiff City midfielder Joe Ledley as Mick McCarthy looks to add yet another player to his squad before the transfer window slams shut at 5pm on Tuesday.
The Premier League new boys has already signed nine players this summer, spending upwards of £17million, but it appears that the former Sunderland and Republic of Ireland boss is not finished there.
The Daily Mail are reporting that Wolves have tabled a last-minute bid for the £6million-rated Wales international, who has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs.
The likes of West Ham, Wigan, Everton, Hull and Stoke are all believed to have been monitoring the highly-rated midfielder over the past 12 months, but it appears that Wolves are now in pole position.
The 22-year-old, who has made over 200 appearances for Cardiff despite his tender years, has just one year remaining on his contract leading many to speculate that he would be on his way before the transfer window closes.
But the talented midfielder last week stated that he would sign a new contract with the Bluebirds if the contract offer was 'good enough'.
With little over four hours remaining before the transfer window slams shut it remains to be seen whether Ledley will be bossing the midfield of Cardiff or pulling on the gold and black of Wolves come September 12th and the sides' next league fixtures.
