Wigan forward Hugo Rodallega has revealed that he would entertain the idea of leaving Wigan Athletic, but only if a bigger club came in for him.
The Colombian forward has started the season well for The Latics and has already netted six times for the Latics.
His impressive performances have alerted some of the Premier League's bigger guns as to his abilities and, as usual, if a big money offer came in for his services, then Wigan would be sure to sell.
But the 24-year-old is by no means desperate to depart the DW Stadium. Far from it. He is content under Roberto Martinez's guidance and is even setting himself targets for the season ahead.
Yet, like any ambitious player he won't dismiss the idea of a move that would further his career.
“You always set yourself targets. I sat down with my friends and family
before the season and thought that I could score 15 goals,” Rodallega
told the Daily Mirror.
“I have got six already and it’s not even halfway through. So it is still very realistic.
“First and foremost I am concentrating on doing well for Wigan,
everyone has been great to me, the fans and the officials and my
team-mates have been behind me all of the way.
“My desire is to leave my mark on Wigan Athletic. If one day I do leave I want to go with a good image of myself left here.
“Obviously when you talk about your future footballers are ambitious
creatures. If a bigger club comes in then I would have to be honest and
take a look at that situation as it happens. But for now Wigan is
everything to me.”
