Sheffield United are keen on signing journeyman hitman Marlon King on a season-long loan deal from Wigan Athletic.
The 29-year-old is yet to feature for the Latics this season under new boss Roberto Martinez, and according to The Daily Mirror Kevin Blackwell is ready to tempt King to Bramall Lane.
The Blades have made a decent start to the season after losing out in last year's playoff final to Burnley, and the former Leeds manager sees King as a great option to bolster his forward line.
The Jamaica international would undoubtedly welcome the move given the fact his first-team chances are limited at the DW Stadium, with the likes of Hugo Rodallega and Jason Scotland ahead of him in the pecking order.
King enjoyed two loan spells in the Premier League last season, first with Hull City, then with Middlesbrough, scoring a combined total of seven goals in 33 games.
A return to the Championship could see a return to the form that saw King bag 21 goals at Watford in the 2005/06 season - Sheffield United fans will certainly hope so should he complete his switch.
