Switzerland international Valon Behrami is reportedly a transfer target for Arsene Wener and Milan boss Leonardo.
The West Ham United midfielder has been deeply impressive for the London club since his £5m move from Lazio last year.
The versatile 24-year-old has only recently returned to action at Upton Park after a lengthy absence through a knee injury he sustained against Manchester City towards the end of last season
Despite this, speculation is mounting over a potential return to Serie A, with Juventus and Roma also believed to be interested in securing his services.
It is thought Gunners chief Arsene Wenger is keeping close tabs on Behrami just in case first-choice right-back Bacary Sagna is poached by Real Madrid but with AC Milan's interest he may have a fight on his hands.
However, the players agent has dismissed the possibility of a January move with the World Cup finals in sight, and insisted that any potential suitors must be patient and wait until the summer.
Alessandro Beltrami speaking to The Daily Star said: “It is possible for him to move after the World Cup next year but not before then.
“He doesn’t want anything to affect his place in the Switzerland squad.”
