Tottenham target Sandro has rubbished reports that he has undergone a medical at White Hart Lane, after reports had indicated that his move to North London was all but complete.
The combative midfielder, who is currently plying his trade with Internacional, has been a long term target for Spurs boss Harry Redknapp.
Indeed, the former West Ham supremo recently confirmed his interest in capturing the 20-year-old's services.
Reports had indicated that a deal was complete for the player, after he underwent and passed a stringent medical at Spurs. However, it appears that these reports were wide of the mark.
Initially, Spurs were rumoured to be tabling an offer in excess of £12million, but now it seems Sandro is available for considerably less.
The deal still looks certain to take place, but the player himself was reluctant to confirm any of the reports that had surfaced amongst the press in recent times.
“I am currently in Riachincho, a city with 8,000 inhabitants, and it doesn’t look like London!" he told the Brazilian media.
“Personally, I am very calm regarding what will be decided about my
future. I think that I am going to stay where I am until the end of the
Copa Libertadores, and for the moment I am only thinking about having
some rest.
“I am very happy visiting my family and friends over here.I leave the negotiations and conversations to the officials of Inter, Tottenham and my agent, Luiz Paulo.
