Tottenham Hotspur misfit David Bentley looks certain to be on his way out of White Hart Lane next month after reportedly having a blazing row with manager Harry Redknapp. The Daily Express claim the 25-year-old's antics during a behind-closed-doors friendly against Blue Square Premier side Grays Athletic at Spurs' Chigwell training ground on Tuesday angered Redknapp.
A club spokesman denied there had been any rift at the
game, but a 'source' told the newspaper: "Bentley was taking the mickey the whole game,
just back-heeling or toe-punting the ball whenever it came to him.
"Harry asked Bentley what he was doing and they had a big verbal ruck."
Bentley has failed to live up to expectations at the North London outfit since his £15million move from Blackburn in July 2008 and it appears his latest misdemeanour, after he was convicted of drink-driving earlier this year, is the last straw for 'Arry.
Indeed, with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy admitting at the club's AGM on Thursday that his manager will have to sell before he can buy in January, Bentley is expected to join unsettled Russian hitman Roman Pavluchenko on the way out of the club.
