Spartak Moscow forward Welliton has revealed he would be interested in a move to Tottenham amid reports of a possible swap deal involving unsettled Spurs hitman Roman Pavlyuchenko.
Reports in Russia have claimed Spartak are keen on luring former star Pavlyuchenko back to the club just over 12 months after allowing him to leave in a £13.8million deal.
However, the 27-year-old is eager to quit White Hart Lane in the New Year after falling behind Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch and Robbie Keane in the pecking order for a starting XI spot.
Meanwhile, Welliton, 23, has attracted the interest of a number of clubs after plundering 21 goals this season to help Spartak finish runners-up to Rubin Kazan in the Russian Premier League.
The former Goias hitman, who arrived at the Luzhniki Stadium in 2007, admits he is open to the idea of an exchange with Pavlyuchenko.
"Tottenham are a famous club with a good infrastructure," Welliton is quoted as saying in the Daily Mail.
However, Welliton also insists he would be happy to stay and play alongside Pavlyuchenko at Spartak if the Russia international was to return to his homeland.
"Of course I'd be happy if we signed him," Welliton continued. "I don't see any reason to be upset. I only have pleasant memories of playing together with him.
"We are both versatile forwards who would complement each other."
