Tottenham Hotspur misfit Roman Pavlyuchenko is ready to end his White Hart Lane nightmare after declaring he wants to leave the North London club in January.
The Russian hitman has had a torrid spell under Spurs boss Harry Redknapp since signing from Spartak Moscow in a £14million deal last year and has made only a handful of fleeting substitute appearances in the league this season.
Pavlyuchenko's World Cup hopes are also hanging in the balance after national team coach Guus Hiddink warned the 27-year-old he must be playing regular first-team football if he wants on the plane to South Africa.
'Pav' seems to have finally had enough playing second, third and fourth fiddle to Jermain Defoe, Robbie Keane and Peter Crouch respectively and is ready to move on. "I want to leave the club. It is impossible to remain there under the circumstances I find myself in," Pavlyuchenko told Russia's Sports Express. "The only thing that can stand in the way is an unmanageable price. But I will insist on leaving.
"The important thing now is to reach a compromise that will be suitable for the club and me, and my future club," he added.
Pavlyuchenko, who scored 69 goals in 141 starts for Spartak, is still held in high regard across Europe and has been linked with moves to AC Milan, Zenit St Petersburg, as well as London rivals West Ham and Fulham.
