Tottenham's Moroccan playmaker Adel Taarabt is desperate to leave White Hart Lane and has shunned a new deal to keep him at the club.
The 20-year-old trickster is currently wowing crowds at Loftus Road with his effortless invention and goal threat. He is on a season-long loan spell with QPR, after Spurs boss Harry Redknapp decided that the starlet would benefit from some first team action.
Despite some eye-catching substitute appearances the former Lens man failed to nail down a regular starting XI place at The Lane, and has now insisted that he wants to leave the club as soon as possible.
His match-winning performances for Jim Magilton's men have not gone unnoticed by officials at Tottenham, and they have promptly offered the Moroccan international a new, improved deal. But to Spurs' disappointment, he has rebuffed their offer and insisted instead that he is desperate to leave the club.
Taarabt explained ths situation recently.
“Tottenham would like me to sign a new deal with them but, frankly, I
don’t fancy going back there now,” he told the Evening Gazette.
“I’ve got two-and-a-half years left with them, but I hope to leave soon.”
