Sunderland, Hull City and Blackburn are set to engage in a January bidding war for Fenerbache forward Colin Kazim Richards after his involvement in a "sex marathon" saga.
The former Sheffied United man was one of four stars along with Vederson, Fabio Bilica and Santos who were all placed on the transfer list by Fenerbache after allegations that the quartet organized sex marathons in Istanbul hotels.
Christoph Daum, the Fenerbache manager, confirmed reports and said that the players involved have no future at the club.
“Sadly, I have to confirm that the rumours are true,” Daum told German newspaper Bild.
“I’m absolutely shocked to find out that these kinds of things are happening. I never expected Fenerbahce players to get involved in something like this.”
Kazim-Richards is likely to be in high demand after proving to be a hit on the Bosphorus after returning to his native Turkey, as well as being a key player in the country's semi-final appearance at Euro 2008.
With the Turkey international set to be available at a knock-down price, Sunderland, Blackburn and Hull are all thought to be desperate to obtain the player's services in January.
