Portsmouth players have reportedly not received their wages for the month of November amid rumours that new owner Ali Al-Faraj does not have the necessay finance to run the South Coast club.
The Premier League basement boys confirmed on Thursday evening that the majority of their first-team players have not been paid for last month - the second time this debacle has happened already this season.
A club statement read: "Portsmouth FC can confirm that the majority of the first- team squad have not yet received their November salaries.
"A proportion of their wages will be paid tomorrow (Friday) with the club's new owners working towards paying the remainder over the next few days."
Pompey admitted their players had not received their wages back in September, blaming 'a delay in the transfer of funds' following Sulaiman Al-Fahim's takeover.
That issue was eventually resolved when Saudi property tycoon Al-Faraj gained control of the crisis hit club just six weeks after Al-Fahim had taken over from previous owner Alexander Gaydamak (Hope you are still following?).
To make matters worse the club were then hit with a transfer embargo by the Premier League over their failure to settle outstanding debts owed to the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal for the purchases of Glen Johnson and Lassana Diarra respectively.
This all came after the club were forced to sell the likes of Johnson, Niko Kranjcar and Peter Crouch in the summer, while no fewer than 13 bargain buys and loan signings were brought in by former Paul Hart.
The former Nottingham Forest manager, who must be commended for the firefighting job he did at the club, was sacked as manager last week and was replaced by former Chelsea bossAvram Grant,
But nothing has changed with the Israeli overseeing two defeats in his first two games in charge, with eight goals conceded in that time and the club dumped out of the Carling Cup.
What this latest bombshell will do for morale is anyone's guess. Pompey for relegation? We certainly think so.
