Cologne forward Milivoje Novakovic has told Portsmouth - thanks, but no thanks after Avram Grant made an approach to sign him.
A number of clubs have been monitoring the progress of the Slovenian international who is reportedly desperate for a move to bigger and better things.
But apparently Portsmouth don't fit that particular bill and he has turned them down flat.
He has recently been stripped of the captaincy at Cologne and has run into hot water after milking the celebrations following Slovenia's World Cup qualification.
Lokomotiv Moscow are also monitoring the ace's progress but his agent, Mihael Stankovic made it clear that he won't be switching to Fratton Park.
"I don't know a lot about Russian offers and Portsmouth is also not the club we are interested in," he told Nogomania.com.
"But yes, it is true, something was happening on this relation (Portsmouth) but nothing happened.
"We are only interested in the biggest clubs in England and Germany.
"But I can tell you for sure that Novakovic will not be moving in the January transfer window."
