Portsmouth boss Paul Hart has ruled out the possibility of him replacing under-fire Reading boss Brendan Rodgers at the Madejski Stadium, insisting their is absolutely no truth in the rumours.
Reading have suffered a dramatic downturn in form since Rodgers took over from Steve Coppell in the summer, and remain in the Championship relegation zone following Monday night's 1-0 home defeat to Leicester.
Former Watford manager Rodgers, 36, has reportedly been told he has just two games to save his job, while rumours are abound that the Royals are already lining up Hart as a surprise choice as Rodgers' replacement.
But Hart, who already has a relegation battle of his own to contend with at Fratton Park helm, was in no mood to humour the rumour, insisting he, and Rodgers, are very much just concentrating on their own matters in hand.
"I heard about the story yesterday," Hart told The News.
"Brendan Rogers is very much the manager of Reading Football Club and I'm very much manager of Portsmouth Football Club.
"That's absolutely it. Finished."
Meanwhile, Hart has told The Sun that he is enjoying the unpredictable nature of life on the South Coast as manager of crisis hit Pompey as it makes each day more 'interesting'.
