All hail John Gregory of Nazareth!

Former Aston Villa and Queens Park Rangers boss John Gregory has returned to management, with Maccabi Ahi Nazareth, who are bottom of the Israeli League.

Gregory, who has not managed since October 2007 when he was dismissed as QPR boss, certainly has his work cut out as Nazareth are currently bottom of the Ligat Al table, having lost nine of their first 12 games this season.

"I am very happy to be here. I know I have come in at probably the most difficult time," Gregory said at a press conference.

The 55-year-old managed at Villa Park between 1998 and 2002, and guided them to the 2000 FA Cup final, where they lost 1-0 to Chelsea.

He has also had time in charge at Derby County, Wycombe Wanderers, Portsmouth and Plymouth Argyle.
