Sven Goran Eriksson could be ready to 'do a Sol' and leave his position at League Two side Notts County, less than three months into the job.
The former England and Lazio boss was surprisingly appointed Director of Football at Meadow Lane in July, working with manager Ian McParland.
After a 'so-so' start to the campaign the club find themselves in sixth position, amassing 20 points from eleven games, but fans are still unhappy, with some calling for McParland to be sacked and for Sven to step in.
Sky Sports News reported on Friday morning however, that Eriksson himself was ready to walk out on his role at the club, though there were no reasons disclosed.
However, McParland insists he is in the dark over any possibility of the Swede exiting the club:"To be honest I have not heard anything.
"I spoke to Sven on Wednesday and had a chat with him.
"He has never mentioned anything to me and I certainly haven't heard anything.
"Nothing surprises me in football, that is how people find it fascinating - but who would have thought Sven would have been at Notts County."
The Magpies with be loath to lose the services of former England coach Eriksson so soon after Sol Campbell walked out of Meadow Lane, quitting the club just three weeks into a lucrative five-year-deal, worth an estimated £10million.
