The Football Association have charged Nottingham Forest, Derby County and Forest striker Nathan Tyson following the mass brawl which ensued after the full-time whistle of a tumultuous encounter.
The two clubs have been charged with with failing to control their players whilst Tyson has been charged for improper conduct following his celebratory antics after his side won the fierce encounter 3-2 on Saturday.
The former Wycombe hitman grabbed the corner flag and waved it towards the Derby supporters who sat in the City Ground's Bridgford End.
This resulted in Rams players Gary Teale and Dean Leacock confronting the striker which then prompted the majority of the other players to rush over as stewards battled to stop fans from invading the pitch.
The incident came just days after the disgraceful scenes at Upton Park in the match up between London rivals West Ham and Millwall where a small minority of fans ran onto the pitch and fought with stewards.
However, speaking to the club's official website Forest boss Billy Davies has revealed that the club will be backing Tyson: "We'll certainly defend Nathan in any way we can.'
"I understand the Derby players and staff were frustrated at the result.'
"But if not for their intervention, when they confronted Nathan and physically pushed him towards the Derby fans, there wouldn't have been a flash point. He'd have continued on his way towards the Brian Clough Stand."
All of the parties involved have until September 18th to to respond to the FA charges..
