Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies has continued his rebuilding programme at the City Ground with the captures of Queens Park Rangers striker Dexter Blackstock and Brighton defender Joel Lynch.Blackstock, 23, has put pen-to-paper on a four-year contract for a fee believed to be in the region of £2million, while 21-year-old Lynch, who is equally adept at playing centre-back as he is in his more orthodox left-back position, has agreed a three-year deal and arrives for a fee of £200,000.
Both players spent part of last season on loan at Forest and Blackstock, who scored two goals during his spell at the club, is delighted to have returned on a permanent basis.
He told the club's
official website: "I'm very happy to be back. It's nice to see the lads, the manager and the staff again and I can't wait to get back in the swing of things.
"I enjoyed everything about my time with Forest last season. We were in the relegation zone and ended up surviving quite comfortably in the end and didn't lose in my time at the club.
"I was really happy with the way things went. I've had a taste of what this club is all about and now I want more."The arrivals of Blackstock and Lynch take Davies' summer signings to
eight following the captures of Lee Camp, Chris Gunter, Paul Anderson, Paul McKenna, David McGoldrick and Dele Adebola, as the Scot looks to mount a serious bid for promotion to the top-flight next season.
