Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies is believed to be lining up a move for Bristol City forward Dele Adebola according to reports this evening.Following a season of disappoinment at the City Ground, which resulted in the club only narrowly avoiding relegation, Davies knows the importance of adding experience to a squad, which is one of the youngest in the Championship.
Having shunned the offer of a new contract at Ashton Gate, Adebola is seen as a perfect signing, a proven goalscorer at that level and a player who can capture the imagination of the fans.
The 33-year-old, who has scored ten goals this season, will not be short of offers however, and may be seen as attractive proposition for a host of sides with
Queens Park Rangers,
Sheffield Wednesday and
Sheffield United all credited with having an interest in the powerful hitman.
However, Forest are now thought to have stolen a march on their rivals, with Billy Davies ready to offer the former
Crewe man, a two-year deal in a bid lure him to the City Ground.
