Middlesbrough will be looking to build on two impressive away victories when they welcome Sean O'Driscoll's Doncaster Rovers to the Riverside Stadium on Saturday.
Second placed Boro have recorded successive victories at Swansea and Scunthorpe over the past week as they look to adjust quickly to life in the Championship.
After a goalless draw against Sheffield United in the season opener in front of their won fans, the home side will be looking to build on the five goals they have scored over the last seven days, with Leroy Lita in line to make a full home debut.
However it is in defence where Boro have excelled during their first fortnight back in the second tier of English football, with Robert Huth and David Wheater's defensive partnership yet to be breached in 270 minutes of action.
Speculation continues to surround the future of Huth, who was recently made captain by manager Gareth Southgate in the absence of the injured Emmanuel Pogatetz, with Everton the latest club to be linked with the Germany international.
Meanwhile Rovers fans will be embarking on their first trip to the Riverside Stadium after witnessing their side make a solid, if unspectacular, start to the season.
The away side have drawn each of their first three fixtures of the season, with their latest stalemate coming against Coventry City on Tuesday evening, with the Yorkshire side bringing the Sky Blue's 100% record to an end.
Middlesbrough's midfield pairing of Gary O'Neil and Rhys Williams will need to keep an eye on Rover's influential midfielder and captain Brian Stock, who looks to pull the side's strings from the centre of the park.
At the other end of the pitch, live wire winger Adam Johnson will be looking to take his goalscoring run into a third game. His skilful style is likely to give a number of Championship fullbacks nightmares over the course of the season, so the Doncaster back four will need to be at their best to keep the England Under-21 player quiet.
After finding the back of the net just twice over the course of their opening games, Sean O'Driscoll's side will be looking to promising forward James Hayter to fire the goals that would give Rovers their first win of the season.
ExtraFootie prediction: Middlesbrough 2 - 0 Doncaster Rovers - Boro to edge this one in what is sure to be a hard-fought encounter on Teeside.
