Liverpool are showing 'big interest' in Hamburg's highly-rated winger Eljero Elia, according to the Dutchman's agent.
The 22-year-old only arrived at the HSH Nordbank Arena from FC Twente in his homeland in an £8.5million deal in the summer, and has caught the eye with a number of dazzling displays for Bruno Laddabia's men.
Such has been his senstional form for the Bundesliga giants and his country over the past few months that he is already being linked with a host of clubs, including the Reds.
Indeed, reports earlier this month suggested that Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez was will to offer cash plus Ryan Babel in exchange for Elia in the New Year.
Spreaking to Sport.co.uk Elia's agent Klauss Vink confirmed that their are a number of Premier League clubs interested in his client and that he would be interested in a move to the Premier League. "There are a few English clubs sniffing around but he has only recently moved to Germany and is happy at Hamburg and playing very well."
"It is true when he does decide to move he would prefer his next move to be to English football, to a top club.
"There is big interest from Liverpool but there are no concrete offers, just rumours."
