Liverpool striker Andriy Voronin has held crunch showdown talks with manager Rafa Benitez over his lack of first-team action at Anfield this season.
The 30-year-old has made only five fleeting substitute appearances for the Reds this season and according to his agent, Andrey Golovash, he has spoken to Benitez about his frustrations.
"Andriy has discussed his current situation at Anfield with Rafa Benitez," Voronin's representative told The Sun.
"The manager doesn't argue about his good form but his position is still the same," he added in reference to Voronin's position in the Reds striking pecking order.
The Ukraine international spent last season on loan at German side Hertha Berlin, scoring 11 goals as the Die Alte Dame enjoyed an impressive campaign finishing fourth in the Bundesliga.
With fresh reports linking the former Bayer Leverkusen ace with a return to the Olympic Stadium with Hertha, Golovash has been quick to stress that his client would rather stay and fight for his place in the starting XI at Anfield.
"He told us, 'all is fine, just wait your chance.' Still Voronin has no intention of leaving Liverpool. He wants to play and prove he can be useful for the team," he stressed.
"Andriy is not interested in a move to Hertha. We are not even considering that."
Voronin could be given a rare run-out on Wednesday night when Liverpol travel to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal in the Carling Cup fourth round, as Benitez looks to rotate his squad.
