Under-fire Ipswich Town boss Roy Keane is set to appoint former England Under-21 boss Peter Taylor as his new first-team coach at Portman Road.
Keano has moved quickly for Taylor, who left his post as Wycombe boss by mutual consent earlier this month, as he looks to kick-start the Tractor Boys' terrible start to the season, which has seen them fail to win in 14 attempts!
Ipswich are rooted at the foot of the Championship, after eight draws and six defeats, despite being the bookmakers' favourites for promotion at the start of the season after spending £8million in the summer.
As a result Keane has decided to completely revamp the coaching set-up and hopes Taylor's experience with Leicester and Hull can help halt Town's shocking start.
The Daily Mail claim Keane is eager to get the 56-year-old on board as soon as possible after the pair met at a recent reserve game and was impressed with Taylor's knowledge of his players having worked with a number of them in the past.
Taylor, who famously gave David Beckham the captain's armband for England during his stint as caretaker boss, is expected to join Keane in the dug out on Saturday for the clash with fellow strugglers Derby County.
