Negredo set for Hull switch?

Hull City appear to be in pole position to sign Spain international hitman Alvaro Negredo after reportedly matching Real Madrid's £15million asking price.

The 23-year-old is reportedly keen to try his hand in the Premier League after failing to make one senior appearance for the Spanish giants, and could now be set for a switch to the KC Stadium.

His agent Alejandro Camano has admitted speaking to Hull chairman Paul Duffen, although he concedes that Roma and Zenit St Petersburg are also in the running for the prolific marksman.

Negredo rejoined Los Blancos this summer after they activated a £4.25million buy-back clause (purely with the objective of selling him on at a higher price) following his stunning exploits with Almeria where he plundered 32 goals and 10 assists in 70 appearances since joining in 2007.

Asked whether Negredo could move to City, his agent told the Hull Daily Mail: "It's 100 per cent possible.

"I have had calls with the chairman. He (Negredo) likes the team and it's possible he will play in the Premier League.

"The chairman is a good man but the deal is not totally 100 per cent yet."

Good signing!

Lorik Cana i would say is a godd signing for Sunderland Bear - and he hasnt played in the Premier League before!

Cristiano Ronaldo is a good signing for Real and he hasnt played in Spain just like Huntelaar is a good signing for Milan and he hasnt played in Italy.

It would be a good signing on paper - is all im saying - going by his record - he is a decent player and it is Hull we are talking about here!

32 goals - linked with Roma and Liverpool - shows he is decent so IF Hull were to sign him it would be a "good signing" par se.

Who knows how he would do - I don't have a crystal ball - but I bet he would score a few and possibly even get a move to a bigger club next year.

We shall have to wait and see...

all i'll say is desparation! he has been rejected by so many strikers so far he is now willing to pay way over the odds! Reminds me of portiltto as few years ago, where is he now!

How can you say good signing! We all know even the best players struggle to adapt to the premiership!

Phil Brown - Numpty

I agree Negredo would be a good signing, BUT £15million seems crazy!

Is it just me or is Phil Brown favouring the 'scatter gun' approach this summer??

No doubt Negredo would be a good signing but I hate Brown so I hope they go down!

Good Signing for Hull

This would be a good player for Hull but that amount of money seems like a big risk, considering they are likely relegation candidates even with Negredo in their side
