Fulham manager Roy Hodgson is reportedly weighing up a January move for Palermo's Brazilian shot-stopper Rubinho, who is looking for a way out of the Serie A club.
Rubino, 27, who is valued at around £3million, moved to the Rosanero from Serie A rivals Genoa in the summer after an outstanding 2008-09 campaign, but has failed to oust Salvatore Sirigu as the club's first choice keeper.
The younger brother of former Inter Milan star Ze Elias, Rubinho has reprented Brazil at youth level, and was once tipped to be a star of the future following his dazzling performances at the 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship.
But he has been frustrated by his failure to nail down a permanent starting spot at the Stadio Renzo Barbera, having been the undisputed No.1 at Genoa for three seasons.
Hodgson is understood to be keen to add to his goalkeeping options at Craven Cottage, with Mark Schwarzer now one of the league's oldest custodians at 37.
Current back-ups David Stockdale and Swiss veteran Pascal Zuberbühler have only a handful of Premier League appearances between them and Hodgson is believed to be keen on recruiting Rubinho.
