Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is reportedly keen to lure Roma left-back John Arne Riise to Craven Cottage, where he would link up with his younger brother Bjorn Helge.
Cash-strapped Roma are currently languishing in 14th place in Serie A, and Riise Snr has been plagued with rumours that he is set to return to former club Liverpool, despite denying that he wants to leave the Stadio Olimpico.
But canny dealer Hodgson, who captured Bjorn Helge from Lillestrom in the summer, is hopeful of landing the Norway internation for £3million, after John Arne did reportedly express an interest in a Premier League return.
The Norwegian brothers took to the field against one another a forthnight ago when Fulham and Roma drew 1-1 in the their UEFA Europa League clash, and they will come face-to-face once again on Thursday evening.
The siblings have both represented their country on numerous occasions, John Arne has 12 goals in his 84 caps, while Bjorn Helge made his debut in 2007, and the Daily Express reckons they could be about to team-up at club level as well.
John Arne, who made 339 appearances during his time at Liverpool and left last summer after falling Fabio Aurelio in the pecking order at Anfield, has featured in all but one of Roma's Serie A outings this season.
