The 26-year-old brother of former
Liverpool stalwart John-Arne, has reportedly made the £2million switch and looks to be another astute signing by experienced boss Roy Hodgson.
Adept at playing across the midfield, but predominantly a right sided man,the former Standard Liege man becomes the second new face at the West London club this summer.
Hodgson is desperate to assemble a squad that's capable of coping with the rigours of the Europa League and the workmanlike Riise represents the durable type of player the former Swiss manager is looking to acquire.
Meanwhile, as we reported here on
ExtraFootie the Cottagers have also accepted a £5million bid for striker Bobby Zamora from
Hull City.
