USA midfielder Clint Dempsey has spoken of how he his enjoying life at Fulham and has no desire to leave the West London club.Roy Hodgson's charges enjoyed an unexpected season of success last term with qualification for the Europa League, courtesy of a seventh place finish in the Premier League. The 26-year-old midfielder was a crucial part of The Cottagers starting eleven.
The former New England Revolution man has been quietly impressive for the USA during the Confederations Cup, which is being played in
South Africa this summer. His good form has sparked rumours of a possible move away from Craven Cottage, with a number of clubs reportedly interested.
But the player is happy where he is and praised staff at the club for making him an improved player.
"Roy Hodgson, Mike Kelly and Ray Lewington have done a great job helping me develop as a player.
"I'm a more complete player now than when I first arrived in England,"
he told the
Sunday Mirror.
Though he emphasised his desire to stay with the club,
Dempsey is also aware of the possibility of a move materialising, believing that anything is possible in football.
!You never know in football, it's so crazy, but I feel like I'm
developing as a player and don't need to move. That's the most
important thing."
