Real Madrid's Dutch ace Rafael van der Vaart could be about to link up with David Moyes's men on Merseyside, as he continues to weigh up his options.
As we reported here at
ExtraFootie yesterday, a Premier League switch for the international playmaker looks increasingly likely as the player has turned down a number of lucrative deals from sides throughout Europe.
Now it looks as if David Moyes, who has the cash to splash following the sale of Joleon Lescott, is ready to lure the 26-year-old to Goodison Park.
It would be quite a capture should Moyes persuade the man with 69 international caps to his name. Despite his impressive performances for
Los Blancos last season - he appeared in 32 league games for them - he hasn't been given a squad number for this season and has publicly stated that he will move.
Of chief concern to the player is the availability of excellent medical facilities for his wife, who is suffering from breast cancer.
It's thought that this is one of the main reason why the versatile ace favours a switch to England.
