Former Arsenal striker Jose Antonio Reyes could be making a shock return to the Premier League with Everton boss David Moyes chasing the Spaniard's signature.
Reyes, still only 25-years-old is something of a journeyman already, having played for five different clubs during his relatively short career, including the likes of Real Madrid.
He has indicated in the past that he wouldn't entertain a return to the Premier League after such an unhappy time at
Arsenal. The big money move from
Sevilla to North London saw Reyes only net 16 times in 3 seasons for The Gunners before he was shipped off to Atletico Madrid.
The player endured a frustrating time on loan at Portuguese giants
Benfica last season, scoring only four goals and the club won't be making the deal permanent. Moyes however is keen to revive Reyes' career and is reported to have approached Atletico to rubber stamp a deal to bring him back to
England. A fee in the region of £4million is thought to be the asking price.
Reyes has won 21 international caps during his career but has not figured in the Spanish national team for three years. A move back to the Premier League with regular first team football would provide him with an opportunity to force himself back into the national set-up.
