Nigel Clough's Derby County summer re-building programme shows no sign of easing up after the Championship club lodged a bid for Exeter utility player Dean Moxey.
Having already raided his former club,
Burton Albion, for centre-back Jake Buxton as well as sealing the cpature of Lee Croft from
Norwich, it would appear that Rams boss Clough is determined to conduct his summer transfer business as soon as possible, wasting no time in identifying potential targets.
And now the Pride Park supremo has turned his attention to the highly-rated 23-year-old Moxey, who has just one-year remaining on his contract at St. James Park, with
Exeter reveiwing the offer for their player.
A statement on the club's
official website read:
"Exeter City confirm that there has been an offer tabled from Derby County for Dean Moxey as revealed in a Derby newspaper this morning.
"The club is now in the process of looking at and considering the offer."
Having finished 18th in the Championship this season, Clough appears to have idenified Moxey as a key piece of his jigsaw at Pride Park as he sets about refining the squad for what he hopes will be a tilt at promotion next season.
