Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock admits he would not be surprised to see Wigan make a move for his England Under-19 starlet Victor Moses. The Nigerian-born striker, who is equally adept on the wing, enjoyed a wonderful campaign at Selhurst Park last season which enhanced his reputation as one of the most promising young talents in the country.
Recent reports have suggested that the Latics were weighing up a £2.5million for the talented 18-year-old, who is under contract with the
Eagles until 2012, with new Roberto Martinex believed to have been hugely impressed with the teenager when he scored against his former club
Swansea in March.
And Warnock believes that the Spaniard may well be lining up a bid to lure Moses to the DW Stadium.
"I've not heard anything at all but it wouldn't surprise me," he said in the
South London Press.
"Victor was super at Swansea.
"I had a good chat with Roberto after that match and told him that Victor would go on to play for one of the top-four clubs."The striker's advisor, Tony Finnigan, added:
"I had dialogue last year with Swansea's chief scout and there are numerous other clubs in the Championship who would welcome Victor Moses as part of their squad, but the proof is in the pudding.
"Talk is cheap. It's about making a physical offer and Crystal Palace deciding when they deem fit to accept any bid.
"Only the manager can decide that."
